Tata Motors India has equipped the 2023 Safari and Harrier (H5) SUVs with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) along with other feature enhancements.
The addition of ADAS brings features like forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, high beam assist, rear collision warning, blind spot detection and traffic sign recognition. Another safety enhancement is the addition of a 360-degree surround-view camera. Both SUVs also get six airbags as standard.
Although the new Safari and H5 will look identical to the outgoing model, they’ll get a host of upgrades inside the cabin. Both SUVs will now feature a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, updated drive modes, an ESP terrain response system, etc.
The 2023 Safari and Harrier continue with the same 2.0-litre diesel engine, which now complies with the RDE norms. The turbocharged diesel engine produces 168 bhp and 350 Nm and is mated with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
